I believe one of the greatest gifts we can develop is the ability to choose how we respond to others and to life’s challenges. This often starts with an increased awareness of why we think, feel and act in the ways we do, and when those ways have become automatic and no longer support our well-being. As a licensed independent social worker for over 30 years, much of my practice has centered around the impact of our experiences, particularly our earliest ones, how we made meaning of those experiences, and how we can use that awareness to respond to life in a way that isn’t dictated by our early learning. I bring an attitude of curiosity, gentleness and humor to the therapy session and work to create a space where people can feel seen and heard.
